Dear
aspirant for the “Salt March”,
We
request all interested participants to read the programme
details and ensure that they can participate in this
event without any difficulty. The “Salt
March” covers a distance of 241 miles
(386 km) through various towns, villages and open country
side. It will also take 25 days not including the time
before and after the actual walk. A large number of
participants are expected for this event. While the
“Salt March” will be a
great event with such international participation, it
will also be demanding in physical effort, living with
minimal conveniences and sharing facilities and space
with a lot of like minded but unknown people.
To
ensure each participant is geared up properly for the
“Salt March”, we require individuals to
register furnishing us with the following information.
Also, please provide us the certificates as per the
formats provided. Please fill the Online
Form given below. Then download and print
the “On
Paper Registration Forms” Fill them,
attach relevant documents and mail them to the Mahatma
Gandhi Foundation, India.
On
Paper Registration is compulsory.

I
wish to participate in the “Salt March”
planned by the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation. I declare
that I have read and understood the details of the programme
and that I will participate in the “Salt
March” entirely on my personal choice
and free will. I also confirm that I will abide by the
rules of the “Salt March”
and be governed by guidelines or security instructions
given by individuals designated by the Mahatma Gandhi
Foundation and the organisers authorised by the Mahatma
Gandhi Foundation for specific events. I will abide
by the laws applicable in India during my visit for
my participation in the “Salt March”.
I will be responsible for fulfilling the immigration
requirements as applicable for me.
I
understand that I will be treated as an official participant
only after I download, print and complete the On
Paper Registration Forms and send it to
Mahatma Gandhi Foundation and I receive a participant
registration number from Mahatma Gandhi Foundation.
